1 About this time another large crowd had gathered, and the people ran out of food again. Jesus called his disciples and told them,
Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him. The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.”
1 Then Jesus began teaching them with stories: “A man planted a vineyard. He built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country.
The owner then sent another servant, but they insulted him and beat him over the head.
“But the tenant farmers said to one another, ‘Here comes the heir to this estate. Let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’
Jesus replied, “Yes, look at these great buildings. But they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”
“We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this Temple made with human hands, and in three days I will build another, made without human hands.’”
Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last.
6 On another Sabbath day, a man with a deformed right hand was in the synagogue while Jesus was teaching.
Then Jesus gave the following illustration: “Can one blind person lead another? Won’t they both fall into a ditch?
So they went on to another village.
He said to another person, “Come, follow me.” The man agreed, but he said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.”
Another said, “Yes, Lord, I will follow you, but first let me say good-bye to my family.”
“The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer.
Another said, ‘I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.’
Another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
“Or what king would go to war against another king without first sitting down with his counselors to discuss whether his army of 10,000 could defeat the 20,000 soldiers marching against him?
So watch yourselves! “If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive.
9 Now Jesus turned to the people again and told them this story: “A man planted a vineyard, leased it to tenant farmers, and moved to another country to live for several years.
So the owner sent another servant, but they also insulted him, beat him up, and sent him away empty-handed.
“The time is coming when all these things will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”
After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people — an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.
From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.
You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true.
And many followed him. “John didn’t perform miraculous signs,” they remarked to one another, “but everything he said about this man has come true.”
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, as did another of the disciples. That other disciple was acquainted with the high priest, so he was allowed to enter the high priest’s courtyard with Jesus.
He motioned for them to quiet down and told them how the Lord had led him out of prison. “Tell James and the other brothers what happened,” he said. And then he went to another place.
Another psalm explains it more fully: ‘You will not allow your Holy One to rot in the grave.’
