For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time.
Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people.
And when they looked up, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus.
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts. Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So the man held out his hand, and it was restored!
Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.

The man looked around. “Yes,” he said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around.”
Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”
Suddenly, when they looked around, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus with them.
Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!”

After a while someone else looked at him and said, “You must be one of them!” “No, man, I’m not!” Peter retorted.
At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”
As Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declared, “Look! There is the Lamb of God!”
Jesus looked around and saw them following. “What do you want?” he asked them. They replied, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”
Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.”
So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me.
The disciples looked at each other, wondering whom he could mean.

Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders.
I looked up and saw a white horse standing there. Its rider carried a bow, and a crown was placed on his head. He rode out to win many battles and gain the victory.
When the Lamb broke the third seal, I heard the third living being say, “Come!” I looked up and saw a black horse, and its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
I looked up and saw a horse whose color was pale green. Its rider was named Death, and his companion was the Grave. These two were given authority over one-fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword and famine and disease and wild animals.
Then I looked, and I heard a single eagle crying loudly as it flew through the air, “Terror, terror, terror to all who belong to this world because of what will happen when the last three angels blow their trumpets.”
The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. They had what looked like gold crowns on their heads, and their faces looked like human faces.
This beast looked like a leopard, but it had the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion! And the dragon gave the beast his own power and throne and great authority.
5 Then I looked and saw that the Temple in heaven, God’s Tabernacle, was thrown wide open.
And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs leap from the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.
Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.
