Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in.
until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.’
They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.
I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things have taken place.
For I tell you now that I won’t eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”
44 By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.
“And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”
“A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!”
When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.
