the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,
Serug lived thirty years, and became the father of Nahor;
and Serug lived two hundred years after he became the father of Nahor, and he had other sons and daughters.
Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and became the father of Terah;
and Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years after he became the father of Terah, and he had other sons and daughters.
Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran.
Now these are the records of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran; and Haran became the father of Lot.
Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and Iscah.
Now it came about after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, “Behold, Milcah also has borne children to your brother Nahor:
Bethuel became the father of Rebekah; these eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham’s brother.
Then the servant took ten camels from the camels of his master, and set out with a variety of good things of his master’s in his hand; and he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.
15 Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor, came out with her jar on her shoulder.
She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”
“Then I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ And she said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him’; and I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her wrists.
He said to them, “Do you know Laban the son of Nahor?” And they said, “We know him.”
“The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us.” So Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac.
Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘From ancient times your fathers lived beyond the River, namely, Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, and they served other gods.
