{A Song of degrees.} Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
“Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up,” Let Israel now say,
“Greatlya have they afflicted me from my youth” — let Israel now say —
“They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,” let Israel say;
“Many a time they have afflicted[a] me from my youth,” Let Israel now say —
From my earliest youth my enemies have persecuted me. Let all Israel repeat this:
